4 year olds

4 year olds are a little bit crazy.

Grace says nutty things all the time, likes to torture her brother and sisters, find sneaky ways to disobey, then become truly sweet and helpful the next second. She likes to relive (what feels like) entire movies to me. We compare Barbie Rapunzel to Disney's Tangled on a regular basis. And she likes to emphasize Gothel's great sin: "she LIES!!" and when she says it, she probably uses the big scary eyes that keep popping up in pictures right now. This one's my favorite.

Whew! That's better. Thank goodness the crazed expression is only temporary! It's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with girls sometimes. We just hope for the happy moments to win out over the craziness around here. ;)

3 months

I really intend to put more than baby pictures on my blog.
Oh, well. :)

Ivy is at that wonderful squishy baby age.
the big open mouth smiles
coos (only sometimes)
almost laughing
lots of swaddling
the beginning of baby toys
sleeping in her crib
(or with Daddy on the couch)

She just loves her feet, especially with bows or shoes to look at. She is very good natured, 90% of the time. And her hardest moments aren't so bad. We are so grateful. When you are 5th in a family, a regular schedule for naps or feedings is almost impossible. Maybe this summer? Maybe not. :) She's been so easy going about being loaded up for car pools and bus stops and errands. I think it bothers me more than it bothers her that we don't have "nap times" yet. Maybe because I wouldn't mind a nap time of my own these days. :)
